Ontario to decide on sprinklers
2/24/2010 - The Ontario government will decide if it will make sprinklers mandatory in all retirement homes to protect the Canadian province's elderly. The government is drafting legislation that will ensure all retirement homes are regulated, said Gerry Phillips, the minister responsible for seniors. But he remained vague as to whether the installation of sprinkler systems will be part of the legislation, which is expected to be introduced this spring.
